I'm a sucker for autobiographies, particularly by people who lived through historical events. So when we went to our local helicopter museum this weekend, of course I had to check out their books. They keep a historical archive and recently decided to downsize by surplusing their duplicates so they could make room for more new material.
I ended up with Sikorsky's autobiography, plus a book by someone who grew up alongside aviation and used to watch the first airplanes fly past his house when he was seven.
Looking forward to giving them a read.
